Barrera Vs. Marquez Scorecards Were Atrocious

I don't think compubox should be taken too seriously in a fight like this, can you imagine how hard it would be to get an accurate reading!! You got to score this fight round by round.

I Just watched it again and scored it 115-112 for marquez, I scored the controversial round 7 9-9. I didn't think the hbo crew were on marquez nuts at all if anything I think Lampley was severely biased towards barrera especially in the exchanges. Barrera faded down the stretch and lost the majority of the later rounds.

Could have easily scored it 116-111, or the other way 114-113, even a draw. A barrera win for me would have been unjust, but by no-means a robbery

I dont take up for Nate to that extent and never have, It does look silly to complain about Guzman then you miss weight yourself, I never thought another fighter ducked him either.

So then if you don't agree any fighters duck him and then agree it looks silly to complain about Guzman...then what's so "embarrassing" about it? Because when we do disagree, that's pretty much what we talk about. Or if Marquez was the true lightweight champ (which he was and still is).

Ive seen more discussions other than weight, its cool, good debate is cool but its also cool when a person can be unbias even with the fighters he is a fan of. What you think of Mijares losing to the much smaller man his last outing?

That's mostly though what we've talked about though. I can be unbias with the fighters I'm a fan of (like Hopkins losing the first fight to Taylor) normally. I don't make usually outlandish statements most of the time.

Anyway, I was crushed Mijares lost and stunned. Darchinyan was the smaller man, but he wasn't overly small. Darchinyan's above 5'5, while Mijares is 5'6. The major thing was the reach, but Darchinyan had been fighting at 115 for 2 or 3 fights. I can't wait for Mijares' return on March 14 though. Hopefully the loss hasn't effected him

Yeah, it's like 5 inches according to boxrec. Darchinyan is really damn good though imo. He provides weird, but great angles. Really underestimated him and he's become a lot more tame and doesn't jump in as much (he did against Arce though)
