Barrera Vs. Marquez Scorecards Were Atrocious

I had the fight a draw, I can see either fighter winning, but 118-109, 116-111, 116-111 is awful, Barrera got no credit for rolling punches and slightly making an opponent miss as he usually does then landing his own. This was a technically brilliant fight by both fighters with horrible judging. That is all.

Not in the slightest. I had it 117-109. Barrera did nothing to warrant him winning the last 6 rounds at all except MAYBE round 8.

Rolling with the punches is such ****. He was still getting hit flush and with combinations. Barrera never landed any combinations and came short at landing many MANY times. Round 8 is the perfect example of that. Barrera is throwing shots like jabs, but watch really closely. They never find the mark and just come short. Of course Barrera does land in the fight (see: Marquez's face), but it's not active enough.

Marquez clearly won this fight and I question most people on why they think so.

I sincerely regret scoring that round for Taylor. I rewatched the fight a while back and man....

I had it 116-112 Wink or 115-113 can't exactly remember.

Not sure what you were seeing, not active enough? Barrera outlanded Marquez and outthrew him, funny. Barrera, when committed to being the matador was brilliant and the fight was back and forth after the third round, I had 3 10-10 rounds as they were hard to distinguish who had the upper hand. Obviously the judges gave Marquez the close rounds.

Winky nor Taylor did anything in the 12th round, I think people forget you can score rounds 10-10 and when you cant distinguish between the two or neither man does anything then it should more or less be a 10-10 round.

Bull**** plain and simple. Again, Barrera's punches didn't always make the mark when they appeared to. I don't remember the punch stats, but it seemed like Marquez out threw him.

He was to inconsistent to win any of the rounds past six. JMM controlled the fight. Barrera was competitive, so it wasn't a blow out, but Marquez was winning the rounds.

I scored the fight a draw as well, but I wasn't paying attention so i missed the ref taking a point away from Barrera and not giving him the KD. So I gave him the KD and didnt take a point away. If I had scored it right it would have been 116-111. I agree though, the scores were rubbish. I will have to re watch it.

Barrera definatly KD'd him though and the ref must have been blind.

Winky out landed Taylor during the 12th....he landed the better punches. Taylor's punches were blocked even if Winky didn't throw as much.
