Terrible. I wonder what he has against throwing straight punches? Or at least throwing a hook with his knuckles facing the right direction. He looks like a cat on his back pawing at a ball of yarn. He's such a goofy fighter.

Agreed. I scored it Calzaghe's way. It was close.

hopkins would have to stop calzaghe to win in wales, and the ref will probably help calzaghe get up from the tKO and give him extra minutes to recover

That sort of post makes me think: what's the point? If he won again, Hopkins' fans would mostly just say it's a robbery again. Wess got me to the point for the first time where I was interested in the fight being made after all, but posts like yours make me think, why should he bother?

            Ok...

"Joe, a lot of people thought you lost the Hopkins fight and, at best, looked mediocre in a winning effort. Would you rematch him?"

"No...for what? Unless I beat him decisively people are going to post on the message boards that he was robbed. I'd rather not fight for that very reason."

I mean, that's a little ridiculous. Methinks you're injecting your own thoughts into Joe's head. I doubt he ever saw it that way (Thank God).

            Either way, he's retired....for now.

I think the fight will be a good one and who ever wins will clearly win.

They both know what and what not to do this go around. I think we'll see something different.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part or maybe there just professionals and will learn from there mastakes.....

either way this fight makes cents and should happen for the fans, the sport and just because I said so!!!!

Come on Joe take the big pay day and give "your" fans what THEY want. A fight in WALES!

I dunno why people want to see, this the only way fro Pops to do better is if he thows more, but if he throws more, he will get tire and Zaghe will KHTFO!!!!!!!!!!!
He can't throw more, he's old. Just retire. Calzaghe you little... fight Dawson or keep quiet.

                    LOL!

I didn't mean that I thought Joe would be motivated by what is written on the message boards, I meant that people in this thread were complaining about Calzaghe's fans not wanting to see a rematch, and I was saying that posts like Pullcounter's were part of the reason I as a fan tend to think it would be pointless. If I as a fan thought that Hopkins' fans would give him props for a second win, however close that win was, then I as a fan would be much more enthusiastic about a rematch happening. People keep saying he should do it for his legacy, but if they're all going to cry "robbery" again, it would do nothing for his legacy.

The other reason I would far rather he fought Dawson is that I still think that would make for a far more exciting match-up, although Wess has made me think it's possible I might be wrong about that.
