But as I said, it's a theory. There's something dodgy about that knockdown, in my opinion.

PS: I've had enough now, I'm gonna find a different thread.
Thanks for ****ing me off for no reason.

I think it's clear hopkins would be more aggressive and throw more. Based on statements made by Freddie Roach and other trainers, one of the problems hopkins had that night was fatigue which was in large part due to a thyroid condition he was unable to really control through diet during training. It's an issue he since took care of prior to pavlik, obviously.

I think there are other factors as well that add to why the first fight was boring. I think it took Joe a very long time to figure out what the hell to do. Hopkins was also very timid and waited extremely long for the counter shots. I believe both fighters would be more aggressive (joe fighting in Wales, hopkins wanting revenge will add to that) not too mention both fighters are now familiar with each other.

It's obvious a second fight will be more entertaining.

        • As some 70,000 people packed Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, the big screen shows hometown hero Joe Calzaghe warming up with his father Enzo in the locker room. It has been said that formet Undisputed Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins had not yet made an appearance on HBO cameras. It was then that a message was delivered to Calzaghe in the dressing room. It read:

          "46-1 - EXECUTION TIME"

              • Won't happen. Surprised they're pushing it so much, shows how much it means to Nard.

I'm always intrigued about the whole "were talking to his people" type talk.

The most vague thing ever, almost as if to say there's nothing to report or go on.

Team Calzaghe would most likely at most respond with, yeah ok deal I spose, thing is I beat you, and I don't know if you read the news or not, but I'm retired. Cya.

                • Calzaghe would take this if they offered something like $20m. He only retired because there wasn't a big enough money fight and his retirement puts him in the driving seat with regards to negotiations.

It'll be a horrible fight to watch though. Although, in some ways, it'll be very intriguing to watch.

It was the wrist really, the bony part of the forearm; he was hit right on the bridge of the nose, and being hit you there can make you see stars even if it doesn't really hurt you in any lasting way; and Joe was off balance at the time, and he didn't see it coming. Put all that together and I think it's a valid knock down.

                    • Lol. All the Calzaghe fans don't want to see him lose.
