Ricky Hatton Looks Very Heavy, Around 165, Says Arum

Enough with the "beating Pac will not make Hatton P4P#1" as if Pac is the only good fighter Ricky has fought... Ricky is seriously underranked P4P by most, he should be NO lower than #5-10 on any list, so beating Pac should at least get RH to #2 and a win over JMM should NO DOUBT make him #1.
Hatton's wins over Magee, Phillips, Tackie, Hutchinson, Stewart, Oliveira, Tszyu, Maussa, Collazo, Urango, Castillo, Lazcano and Malignaggi seem to get overlooked, dismissed or just nullified for moving up and losing to the P4P #1 (PBF) in a fight that was much more competitive than the score cards read. Through 7 rounds the fight was at least even and HBO had Hatton ahead on their card in spite of the biased ref. Hatton was P4P ranked in the top 5 before his loss to Floyd and should not have fallen as far as he did after 1 loss to the best. Other guys in the P4P list have multiple losses but yet they didn't fall like Hatton did in the rankings for some reason. I don't remember Chico getting discredited for losing to Floyd the way Hatton has...Comment

I hope it's not true that Ricky Hatton is that heavy at this time and that will give his fans the chance to use the same excuses as with ODLH. I hope Ricky will take care of himself and be 100% percent ready during the fight. So at least who ever wins will get 100% credit.Comment

also, if you think hatton cant compete, then pac has not proved he can compete at lightweight yet then, he beat david diaz who wasnt even a top 5 imo. wont go near nate, juan diaz, casamayor, and hasnt fought a live welter yet either.
just out of curiosity, who is pfp if ricky wins? still pac? what if ricky beats jmm too?Comment

If he then beat JMM decisively, it's hard to be sure whether he'd go as high as #1 or not because of JMM being naturally smaller - he's looked good at Lightweight but not quite as good as he did at lighter weights, and it's hard to tell whether he could carry his power and speed up to Jnr Welterweight. Plus it depends on what the other top P4P fighters did in the meantime. At the end of the day the rankings are devised by a large panel of highly respected boxing experts, and it comes down to the subjective opinions of those experts. But Marquez being the naturally smaller man would definitely be a factor in that decision.Comment
