Bad foul, but aside from that what a performance that was...
I love Hopkins, but damn he is dirty.
Actually let me rephrase that I love Hopkins, AND damn he is dirty. When you foul as much as he does and you rarely get caught, that's a skill.
Agree, that is one thing I like about B-Hop, I'd do it to if I could get away with it but people gotta remember, Mercado and Echols were also dirty fighters, Mercado was on a whole different level
Anyway, B-Hop vs Echols 2, Mercado 2, Johnson and Tito are my favorite B-Hop fights to watch
To everyone who mentioned the body slam (except that **** Fulcrum, I'll get to him in a second), please keep in mind that the rabbit punch happened rounds before the body slam, so it's hard to use that as a reason why the referee didn't take serious action against Hopkins.
We hear a lot about Joe Calzaghe's title defenses, but many of Hopkin's opponents were no better.
As a lot of people have said, everything that I have heard is that Echols was a really good prospect/contender who was ruined by Hopkins. I've seen his two battles with Echols, and man, he really beat the hell out of him, completely brutalizaed him.
Echols was even dirtier in those fights so what's your point dumb ****?
Eat a **** Fulcrum. Is your argument that the referee looked into the ****ing future and saw the body slam before it happened? If not, then I don't know what you are going for here. It was the first thing that was seriously dirty in the fight and the referee looked over it like it was nothing.
The day a ****ing idiot terrible poster like you talks down to me... this forum is unreal. How is it that the morons who know nothing about the sport talk the hardest and make the boldest claims?
I dont know about him being DQed, since that was a pretty dirty fight to begin with.
but I find it pretty funny that his KO loss to Mills Lane is considered a 'title defence'. if you didnt include that fight, he would only have 19 title defences of the IBF belt.
