Hopkins should not have gotten to 20 defenses

There is no way in hell that he should not have gotten DQ'd against Echols for that loaded up rabbit punch in the rematch...

That's just nuts man, I can't believe Hopkins wasn't worried about accidentally killing him with that shot.

Yeah, definitely... I try to make the guys who beat my favorite fighter look as terrible as possible so that loss looks worse to everyone.

      Tight logic.

But really, care to actually argue the point? Was it accidental? Are rabbit punches not a big deal? Let's go Hopkins fan... Why was it okay for Hopkins to blatantly fall Echols like that?

That fight was dirty all the way. One of Bhop's funner fights to watch. He eventually stopped Echols properly tho, which made some of the foul **** excusable imo. That and the fact that Echols was foulin him all nite too.

Id have to see it again to make an accurate call, Echols wasnt a saint in the fight himself. Besides the ref didnt DQ him so....

Yeah, everyone keeps telling me that I need to watch these fights again. This guy was clearly the Executioner back then... not the outpointing slick counterpuncher that he is now.

Has anyone seen the rematch in a format other than wmv that the sound messes up when you try to move forward in the fight?

Well I agree, Echols clearly should have been DQ'd for the back body drop that **** did to Hopkins too.

The weird part is, Hopkins did it at the beginning of the second round, without a whole lot of fouling in the first round.

Bad foul, but aside from that what a performance that was...

I love Hopkins, but damn he is dirty.

Actually let me rephrase that I love Hopkins, AND damn he is dirty. When you foul as much as he does and you rarely get caught, that's a skill.

I thought it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Echols picking up and throwing Hopkins through the ropes though... Atleast Hopkins refused to take the DQ win and finished the fight.
