Not only was Diaz a more marketable fight, but it was also a tough one. Its not like Diaz was a Bruseles or DAVID Diaz of the division. Marquez still chose a tough fight in his SECOND fight at lightweight and wanted ANOTHER tough fight in Campbell next.

Campbell had an opportunity and he ****ed up. He has and his fans have no one to blame but Campbell.

Who knows, if Campbell makes a name for himself at 140, there still may be a possibility.
nice talk... marquez can still fight campbell at 140 since he's moving up anyways. it all depends on if he isnt scared.

No, it all depends on whether JMM can make enough money for it to be worth his while. That's how things go in real life.

scared? of what? being roughed up? being horribly cut? being knocked down? losing? what could Campbell possibly bring that Marquez hasn't already encountered?

Depends on if Marquez wants to take a winnable fight next. He has a better chance beating Campbell than Cotto, Mosley, or Mayweather. And it would get him in the ring sooner to stay fresher instead of waiting more months for winner of Pac/Hat

nate campbell is the 3rd most recognized fighter at 140 and the legitimate king of 135 until he could no longer make weight. IMHO they have unfinished business, but I would not begrudge jmm for not fighting campbell based on the fact that campbell is only a contender at 140.

you make a good point, but imho jmm and nate have unfinished business from 135, but unless jmm fights a lesser opponent, I would not be mad at jmm for not taking the fight.

i wasnt serious when i said jmm is scared.

If Marquez didn't knock him out, I'd be shocked if it wasn't a shut out. He's on another level. Campbell is a glorified ESPN fighter. Dude seized one big opportunity amidst a career of mediocrity at best. Props to him for getting that big win, but it doesn't make him a world beater. Guzman would have embarrassed him. Hopefully Marquez does.

i thought campbell had an easier time with diaz than marquez did, but marquez's comibination punching is just too good.

well if the fight gets made you will have the chance to put your money where your mouth is. My guess is if given that opportunity, you wont.
