Actually, yes, I would. I'd rather see Pacquiao fight a live challenger, than an older World Champion who (in my opinion) really owes everything he has to a piss-poor division.

You think Hatton has the skills to compete at 135 if he were a 135lbs fighter?

You think he could make it at 147lbs?

I mean ****, he walks around at about 180, he should be fighting at 147lbs. But he sheds the extra weight so he can make 140 and be a big name.

He'd be starched in any other division by any top 5 fighter.

Fight fans all predicted that he'd lose to De La Hoya, virtually anyway. So, it's safe to assume he didn't know how good he could be at the higher weights either. If we are to go off assumption, either assumption, that he didn't know how good he could be, if bigger, or that he did.... Both could be made. So, the bigger thing kind of gets thrown out the window, when he didn't know how far his body could go, no one really did at the time.

In terms of the prime thing, the last time that happened was David Diaz, who should have been bigger and might have been stronger (he didn't land, so we don't know.)

The best fighters at the weights Manny was at, at the time, were older, SLIGHTLY faded fighters. So, it's a trick question. Hell, if he'd had fought Casamayor, he'd of been an older, faded fighter. So, that argument loses merit.
Barrera was PRIME when he whooped him the first time. Morales was in Prime the first fight, and at the end of his Prime the 2nd and 3rd. Morales in the 2nd fight just ate to many punches, and i knew soon he would fall. But Morales in the 2nd fight would beat Marquez in my opinion.

Morales was 30 when Pac beat him in the 2nd match, he wasn't nowhere near shot. Pacquiao is 30 right now, so is he SHOT??

Barrera was 29 when Pac TKO'd him the 1st fight. NOWHERE NEAR SHOT.

Marquez was 31 when they Got a Draw, and 34 when Pac Beat him. Marquez is the oldest out of the 3, so IS HE SHOT????

i musta missed that memo that validated Juan Diaz's ATG status

i also missed the memo that a glorified club fighter ushered the great Kostya Tszyu out of boxing

No one else would even be possible or remotely close as far as money goes.

That's the circumstances. It's not like he's particularly avoiding those challenges.
          Agreed.

Basically, Pacquiao can beat anyone Marquez can beat. I'm sure of it.

And it is cherry picking because Hatton has looked like **** the last couple years, even Lazcano had his ass stumbling and out on his feet.
So you rank diaz p4p higher than hatton?

I agree with this though the financial reality of the situation makes it damn near impossible.

No, but Pac automatically becomes shot IF (and that's a rather large IF) Hatton beats him in May.

I bet if it was Hatton vs Marquez, you'd be on that Fights ****TIP saying how Hatton is good and all. He is closer to an ELITE FIGHTER THEN JUAN DIAZ. Hatton looked like **** at 147. But looked good last fight at 140. No matter what you say, Hatton IS the man at 140 and has proven himself to be by BEING UNDEFEATED AT THAT WEIGHT.

So Hatton is old now. Ricky is just 2 months older than Pac. Making excuses now for Hatton when Pac beats him.
