I can't understand why Pac had to fight Barrera again. I can understand the first rematch of Erik because it was close, and also the Oscar fight for a big fat check. The only "?" on there is the 2nd Barrera fight cause he was destroyed badly in the first.
Not to mention Barrera wasn't coming off of any kind of win that would grant such a rematch. In his last fight before the Pac rematch, he damn near got shutout by Marquez.

Hey man,, don't you just love this drama building up.. I hope Pac and JMM meet again... Pac has something to prove againts hatton now and try to one up JMM's performance againts Juan Diaz... By any stretch Marquez and Pac have proven beyond a doubt that they are in the same league and that they stand above the rest as the best fighters in boxing today. Marquez beating Juan Diaz the way he did dropped my jaw and I have soooo much more respect for JMM.

Barrera wasn't a Champion in the Pacquiao rematch.

Morales wasn't a Champion in either the second or third Pacquiao matches.

And De La Hoya hadn't been a Champion at 147lbs for a number of years.
Barrera was CHAMPION in the 1st fight.

De La Hoya wasn't Champion, but he was way bigger.

Morales barely lost his titles to Barrera i think. But was still a force.

Marquez was champion, then Manny beat him.

so Barrea and Marquez where Champions when Manny beat them.

Money. If Oscar wants a rematch with Pac and they offered him more, Pac will take it, whether Pac wins or lose.

Gonna take a break, see you guys in about 30 min.

Exactly man. It wasn't necessary at all.

I could have just said "unnecessary" and saved some energy there...

Which is why I left the first Barrera fight, and both Marquez fights out of my original post.

You said "when they were Champion", so I felt I had to point out the fights in which Pac's opponet's were not Champions. Hence, the ones I listed.

Yeah I guess money was the only reason.

Enjoy your break. Watch out for hair growing on your palms!

i know, to me it seem like it's been short because Hopkins hasn't faded like other fighters... it's like he can fight till he is 50.
