Boxers are defined by the poeple they fight, if he continues to stay retired or not fight the best of this era, he cannot be considered anywhere near the top.

I also believe that he beats Marquez easily. I love Marquez but he's 35 and speed kills. There is no one faster than PBF IMO.

    Very, very true.

Pacquiao is faster than Floyd IMO which is one of the reasons why I think Pacquiao might have the tools to beat him.

I agree with you up to a point, but I think a fighter is defined partly by his opposition but also by his abilities. I want him to fight again as much as you do, but if he doesn't, and if Bert Sugar updates his "Top 100 Fighters Of All Time", I would be very surprised not to see Mayweather in there. In fact he has already made it into ESPN's "50 Greatest Boxers of All Time" list, at #48.

After all, some fighters in Sugar's list retired younger than Mayweather, e.g. due to injury; and Mayweather does have fragile hands. Other all time greats were avoided, like Mike McCallum, but are still considered to be all time greats; and others were unlucky in terms of the eras they fought in.

Marquez was lucky he faced a guy with no pop at 135 because he was getting hit flush all night. His boxing has slipped and his defense is made worse with his more aggressive style. What weight does he intend to face the Twenty Million Dollar Man? JMM needs a reality check more than the multi-million dollar check.

your post is right on the money.....Juan Diaz has ZERO pop in either hand.....his right punch has the same power as his left......yeah he punches alot, but it seems he throws that many because he knows some of those shots will get in. I admire him as a fighter, and JMM was getting tagged all night, imagine a very skilled defense talented Mayweather would do to JMM.....it would be a total massacre....

When Oscar was dangerous ,Floyd called him out.Oscar replied by telling Floyd he was a spoilt brat.People even forget Floyd went up to 154 to take the fight he was not expected to win.Oscar had just obliterated Mayorga in his previous fight.

Floyd wanted Wright when Wright was that dangerous.Wright would go on to fight against Taylor and Hopkins.

People are talking about Floyd not fighting Cotto. When Floyd came up from 135,there was Hatton,Kosta,Cotto and others at 140.Floyd wanted Cotto and Cotto's people wouldnt take it.Floyd went for Kosta but Kosta went for Hatton instead.Floyd then went on to take Gatti.Hatton had just destroyed Kosta and went to watch Floyd destroying Gatti. After the fight Hatton was asked about fighting Floyd and hatton said 'maybe in 2 yrs I will be ready for the likes of Floyd'.
Floyd is the best fighter out there.People might hate him for other things but his courage, boxing wits and intelligence are unquestionable. He's awesome
Mosley wanted to go back down to the welterweight division he once dominated after the first fight, but the rematch kept him at junior middleweight (Fernando Vargas). Now, he intends to go back to 147 pounds.

Waiting for him could be a mega fight against pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather would like the fight in November, but Mosley said he doesn't even plan to resume training until November.

"You know Antonio Margarito is out there waiting to fight Floyd," said Mosley, who earned about $4 million plus a percentage of pay-per-view profits. "Those guys should fight each other and we can fight next year. The only thing I know is my tooth is a little lose and I might have to go to the dentist."
