definitely a fight of the year candidate. Though as not shocking as the Mosley-Margarito fight.

That was one of the best fights I have seen in a long, long time. Im glad I called it pretty much exact, I have to admit that Diaz had alot more for my boy JMM then I thought he would. A lot more. He really could have won that fight and I had it even going into the last round (before the KO.) Around the 6th or 7th you could see Marquez getting his timing down, getting that uppercut in, and starting to break down the aggression of Diaz. So although Im very happy for Marquez getting the very hard fought win (and just being a BAMF), I also have to give credit where it is due to Diaz. I underestimated you and you gave a hell of a fight. Between the fight you gave and the no excuses post fight interview, you gained a fan.

based on what? marquez was expected to win this fight. its a great win but it will not elevate him to #1 status.

JMM calling out Mayweather Jr. was just a way to get Pacquio's attention. I'm sorry Pac Fans, but JMM has a tougher resume.

Fight of the Year candidate easy. Instant classic, si, I think so.
how does JMM have the tougher resume? you must be kidding right? pac beat 4 HOF including JMM, how can he have the better resume? this is a good win for JMM no doubt but it was an expected win, most of the boxing pundits expected him to win this fight, he was the odds on favorite to win this fight, get it?

                    Great fight.

I felt that as the fight went on it would play more into Marquez's hands. Diaz was giving everything he had and had to pay for it sooner or later. The fight could have been easier for Marquez if he stayed off the ropes. Up until the knockout, I had him a round behind. But he came through in devastating fashion. That uppercut was amazing.

I think Diaz should move up to light welterweight. He is fat bastard and this division is too packed for him.

i felt the commentators were quite bad, or biased maybe. They didn't give Marquez any credit for the great work he was doing, especially to the body, until the 8th when he absolutely dominated

IMO he won round 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and i think one more (forgive me if i got the rounds a bit wrong i'm remembering off the top of my head)
