totally disagree. no disrespect to MMA fighters, but most lack fundamental boxing skills that would make them even more dangerous fighters.
Why Boxing Is Better Than MMA

I love how boxing basically comes down who can beat who by just using your fists, no grapling, kickin or that ****, i dont have nothin against mma, i keep up with the current fights 2 see who is fighting and stuff but it just doesnt get me excited the way boxing does. plus boxing is like the olympics, most countries got that one boxer to represent them and i ****in love that **** !Comment

How is that so? MMA fighters practice boxing techniques. Alessio Sakara was a pro boxer turned mma. Rampage used to box with Juanito Ibara. Andrei Arlovski works with Freddie Roach. So with those examples right there, how can an MMA fighter not give a decent fight? They practice punch, block, bob & weave. Will they win? No chance in hell. Will they give a decent fight? You can bet your money on it.
Which is why I think Andrei Arlovski will not be that great in boxing. And why I think Anderson Silva was ****** for calling out Roy Jones Jr.Comment

Hahaha, that **** is gay as hell. Dont make me pull up the picture of Calzaghe riding Hopkins like a bull.
All in all. They are both respectable. Boxing is the sport of punching which is great. MMA is more complete fighting which is also great. They are both great. One isn't better than the other in my eyes. I just like to see a good fight.Last edited by F l i c k e r; 03-07-2009, 12:23 AM.Comment

I have said this before on post but boxing and MMA are combat sports in the same way that toasters and washing machines are appliances. Do you go on forums and compare washing machines and toasters? no! because they are two very different things that serve different purposes.Comment
