Funny how u look at my sig, and automatically that im some delusional Cotto fanboy. Far from. Yes he's one of my favorite fighters, but on my favorites list, i have JMM and Pac ahead of him. Fact is, what i posted in regards to the ppv buys and hotbox situation cannot be disputed. Had there been no illegal cable back then, Tito/Oscar and Tyson/Holyfield would've done DOUBLE the ppv buys that they actually did.

I think 8million is more than enough for a fighter who could never carry a PPV on his own VS a Fighter who may be very popular in his home country but is still only a moderate success in the US. Then factor in that the economy is in the Tank and less people are gonna pay 59.99$ a PPV between 2 fighters with lukewarm popularity in the US.

Plus you also have to factor in that if Pac man loses 20 million becomes as realistic as Floyd winning the lottery.

knowing that, and knowing the man would have to come out of retirement after damn near a 2 year layoff, why would golden boy offer him only 8 mil to fight shane, who i assume is a bigger star than baldomir?

bottom line is, shane don't want that fight, or he would've come w/ something more serious. he knew floyd would balk at 8 million......its just something they did to be able to say "i offered floyd a fight, and he ducked me," and what it does is give ammo to haters who can't think logically.
