knowing that, and knowing the man would have to come out of retirement after damn near a 2 year layoff, why would golden boy offer him only 8 mil to fight shane, who i assume is a bigger star than baldomir?

bottom line is, shane don't want that fight, or he would've come w/ something more serious. he knew floyd would balk at 8 million......its just something they did to be able to say "i offered floyd a fight, and he ducked me," and what it does is give ammo to haters who can't think logically.

And Baldo made right under a million and this was justifiable considering most people expected an entertaining fight. Instead what they got was poor PPV numbers, people leaving after the 7th round, and Floyd refusing to make any attempt at knocking out Baldo.


The Baldo fight killed any PPV crediability Floyd may have slightly generated.

i agree w/ u about the guaranteed 12 mil.......but the fact that they offered 8 mil is evidence to me shane doesn't want the fight, becuz they knew floyd wouldn't accept 8 mil. so why make that dumbass offer?
