There's nothin wrong with fighters wanting big money fights. But asking for $20 Mill Guaranteed is a stretch. The only man that deserved that type of money wore the number 23.
clottey doesn't have a huge fanbase in n.y i live in n.y and i see clottey in the gym sometimes he does not have a huge fanbase

He knew how to make people heated like none other in recent memory.
You're absolutely right...but he's still not worth $20 Mill up front. He knows he's character and his role in the sport is to be the bad guy, but in the end he needs someone of the stature of Oscar to get the money he wants.

I'm all for just having him stay retired, its crazy that we talk about his finances more than his actual fights...SMH...

Nah, Floyd didn't lose it, you're right. But only the nuthuggers would let him keep it while not fighting the best. and its a matter of opinion who was the better fighter during this era. I'll go with Pac.

It is possible... if they want him to come out of retirement so much then they should pay up the money, I gotta admit though $20,000,000 is A LOT of money so I wouldn't blame them if they rejected the offer and didn't make it.

It kinda goes two ways really to be honest... but I thought they would have offered a little bit more than $8,000,000 for him to come out of retirement (I wasn't expecting them to offer $20,000,000 either though).

If they really want him to come out of retirement then it can happen, but if they are going by principle and say that he is demanding too much which is something they refuse (I wouldn't blame them, there choice) then there is also a massive chance of it not happening.

It could go both ways really... I gotta admit though I would like to see Floyd come out of retirement and have one or two more fights (only if his heart and desire to win fights is still there though) as many other boxing fans do.

why isn't he worth it? there is obviously a demand for him, 1 way or another. so pay him the $$$. and if it is all about $$$ and great fights. why don't GBP and Top rank void there cut and pay both fighter what they deserve. would u have a problem with that?

if manny beats hatton (which he will) a mayweather vs pacquiao fight would generate 20million no problem...

It is fine that you think he is not worth it, but it is entirely his right to ask for it and to think he is worth that. Hey you never know if you don't try. If someone want to draw him out of retirement (at this stage) they have to come correct or should not bring him up at all.

Both Mosley and Manny are very good at playing the good guy. I mean hell Shane got away with preformance enhancing drugs, no one gets to slide with that **** like Mosley did. I think either fighter meshes very well with Floyd's persona. Hero-Villian is the best possible story line you can have for selling a fight, so much so that the names only matter a little bit (although being well known would most certainly help).
