the only great mexican fighter is OSCAR DE LA HOYA, mexicans go crazy over a ****ing record. if JULIO CHAVEZ was so great he would have held belts and multiple weight classes like the REAL GREATS do. In truth CHAVEZ is nothing more then an over publizied YORY BOY CAMPAS.

Chavez blew up his record fighting bums in MEXICO 4 TIMES A MONTH.
He was too easy to hit, didn't have any speed, nor did he have great power.
Only good thing about him was he had a good chin, and was a solid body puncher...AT THE LOWER WEIGHTS.

De la hoya's style made him effective from 130-154 a far better fighter then CHAVEZ. Hell VARGAS at 1 point was even better then chavez.

That's true! anyone who puts their personal preference and biaz aside can say Oscar is the greatest from the mexican fighters, his record speaks for itself, 6 division champ. Always faced the best up to this day.

Since, nothing will be proven, and he got off with a year suspension, I think he will be back, he survived this long, and you just can't erased history on certain beliefs, yeah I belive he cheated, and I saw him lost to Daniel Santos, Paul Williams, and Shane Mosley, but he did defeat Martinez, and give a hell of a fight to Santos (he COULD HAVE WON is the arguement), defeated Miguel Cotto. He has the lure of an old time fighter with wins and loses, a good journeyman. I think he would have defeated Fernando Vargas. It's really hard to tell, seeing as he used 8oz gloves in all his fights, and might have put in Plaster of Paris too....

but since that cannot be proven, the Plaster part, I think he will comeback, he has too.

He's in my top 20 because we still have no ****in proof he ever cheated, he never techincally cheated in the Mosley fight since they were discovered. If it is ever proven that he did then he's out of my ATG Mexicans to be honest
