the only great mexican fighter is OSCAR DE LA HOYA, mexicans go crazy over a ****ing record. if JULIO CHAVEZ was so great he would have held belts and multiple weight classes like the REAL GREATS do. In truth CHAVEZ is nothing more then an over publizied YORY BOY CAMPAS.

Chavez blew up his record fighting bums in MEXICO 4 TIMES A MONTH.
He was too easy to hit, didn't have any speed, nor did he have great power.
Only good thing about him was he had a good chin, and was a solid body puncher...AT THE LOWER WEIGHTS.

De la hoya's style made him effective from 130-154 a far better fighter then CHAVEZ. Hell VARGAS at 1 point was even better then chavez.

It is true chavez career began fighting bums, but you got to remember Chavez had no amateur career.

for me growing up chavez was the man watching boxing with my dad is what got me into watching boxing. As far as for Margarito goes his only hightlight to me was the cotto fight so i would put him somewhere in the 20 spot

Margarito belongs in the top 20, Margos victory over Miguel, was compared to Salvador Sanchez-Wilfredo Gomez.

Wilfredo Gomez was the Mexicutioner of his time, that why the fight was so epic. I can't say the same thing for Cotto.
