Hatton's footwork is as good as any fighter today and goes from out of range to inside faster than anyone else.

if you watch closely hatton is exceptional at drawing an opponents jab and then coming in after it falls short.
Pac would not take him lightly thats a ****** thought he is a Pro .

Hattons footwork isnt that good at all , to jump straight in and smother your own punching room got his clock cleaned by Floyd and if he trys it on Pac he will get countered the same , Hatton will bunny hop in straight lines , great footwork is moving at angles and to be balanced to fire at all times , Ricky hops in and squares up even crossing his feet on occasions , its just like this not stop body pounding machine hype that you guys go on about , why because he landed a good shot on a shot fighter and a few early give me's , where was all this body punching and great footwork in his fights from Collazo on ?

Why doesn't anyone on here ever comment on the psyche of a boxer? Ricky no longer has to think about the hype and craziness of fighting on the top of the bill against the best P4P...he has done it before. He knows he is the bigger man. He also knows that he a completely different trainer. A trainer who is well-known for helping fighters improve their styles. This is unbelievable to the psyche of boxer. It makes you relax, feel comfortable, and more confident. That is the advantage Ricky has in this fight.

Forget body shots, and aggression, we all know from 234576238475 posts that ricky has these things. We also know that pac is the better boxer and faster...etc etc etc. I am curious to think about what Pac's mentality is. How does he feel about moving up in weight? I think we all know he knew ODLH was drained....so what is pac thinkin.

By the same token what is Hatton going to be thinking when he starts getting tagged cleanly while being a little tired , I think Floyd will have left a scar on Hattons psyche that will appear when Ricky has the acid put on him in the right situation mid fight , when the fight has settled to a battle I think there is a black hole that Ricky might just fall into and it was Floyd that put it there .

David Diaz is a joke!!! It took Pac 6 whole rnds to KO that fool!! And Freddie reckons Manny is better than PBF? Please make another comeback PBF and KO this pretender called PACMAN, I believe maybe that Freddie has been puchasing crack off Floyd snr LMAO!!!! PAC can't handle JMM in that 2nd fight (JMM got robbed thanx Jose "Pac nuthugger" Suliaman). JMM hit Pac on that cut on his eye lid and nearly gave up, can't wait til Hatton exposes this fraud!!!!!! =)

This fight will not go as smooth as Freddie thinks.Hatton is not going to walk around the ring like a zombie like Oscar.Remember, Oscar is a shot fighter. Diaz is not an elite fighter either. If Hatton fights his fight and keep alot of pressure on him, I see him winning big.I also don't think Manny hits hard enough for Hatton to respect him.

No, the fight went 9 rounds. Diaz actually has a decent chin, and it's not unusual for Pac to KO an opponent late on. The first 6 rounds are just spent wearing an opponent down with accumulation of punches delivered with speed. Let's not forget, Pac was moving up in weight to 135 for the first time. It would not be wise to sit down on shots when facing a naturally bigger opponent. A better game plan is to keep moving all the time.

He did the same thing with Oscar, knowing that if Oscar could have landed a big punch he could have been taken out at any point, so instead he used speed and movement to keep turning him, then cranked up the pressure with harder shots from round 7 onwards. Had Oscar not quit, he would have been knocked out in round 9.

I hear so many people saying how much Pacquiao has improved but he looks like the same guy to me. All he does is move around and lung in swinging trying to out slug his opponent. How can you tell how much he has improved by fighting David Diaz & Oscar De La Hoya? Clearly he wasn't tested
                    in both fights.

Ricky Hatton is going to test Pacquiao and I believe he will win because to me Pacquiao is a Great offensive fighter but he doesn't have the defensive tools to keep a prime, strong guy like Hatton away from him for 12 rounds and on top of that Manny's power is an accumulation of punches so he is going to have to mix it up with Hatton to score points or even go for the KO.

Pacquiao has NO defensive strategy & gets hit flush in most every fight! If/When Hatton lands a solid power shot there is a big chance that Pacquiao drops. I like Pacquiao but just not that confident in him like everyone else
because if a fighter doesn't have any defense then I cannot ride with him fully.
you said it urself that pacquiao is a great offensive fighter and his power relies on accumulation of punches... you also said pacquiao has no defensive strategy and gets hit flush in every fight? man the second statement applies more to hatton than pacquiao, doncha think? and as a great offensive fighter like u r saying that he is, pacquiao will have a great chance of landing those blows up to the point of accumulation... does hatton have the "defensive tools" to avoid pacquiao's blows? if you criticize pacquiao's defense, you must do the same thing to hatton even more so IMHO...
