Floyd's speed is overrated

I don't think Floyd's handspeed is overrated.At welterweight,he did more one punch pot shotting.That displayed his quickness,but he never really opened up with fast flurries or combinations.I think the speed was still there but he didn't want to commit to the punches.I think he was afraid that he would get countered.If Zab was a disciplined fighter, that fight could have been a classic.The speed and skill they both displayed in the first 4 rounds was second to none.IMO, Berto has the fastest hands at welter with Shane coming in a close second.

I agree that Floyd's speed at 147 is a little overrated. But I do think he's faster than Cotto.

Watching Floyd/Corrales is crazy though. Floyd is very fast, but for whatever reason doesn't look as fast at 147. Part of me feels like it's just cause he doesn't let his hands go as much.

Miguel's timing however, is GREAT. He used to to beat Judah and Mosley's "speed."

Each fighter has his tools... Cotto's left to the body is superior to Mayweather's for sure.

Floyd is much quicker than Cotto, even after moving up in weight and slowing down in speed.

I have said this for ages, he is quick, but p4p he is not as quick as guys like Jones,Mosley,Judah or even Meldrick Taylor.

He's fast, but not the fastest. He has excellent timing and accuracy, maybe the best i've ever seen.
