I do agree with the original poster, though. Floyd is fast, not doubt, but his speed does tend to get overrate an bit on here. His accuracy is what really damages opponents.
Although Sugar May Floyd might disagree with this since he claimed the other day that Floyd was faster than Ali, Leonard, Taylor and Roy Jones (P4P).Comment

i'm starting to think people dont understand what the term "overrated" means.
overrated doesnt mean you're saying something that's false, it just means you're exagerrating the truth.Comment

Speed is like many physical attributes in boxing, it can be improved and noticeably at that. What you can't improve though, are your physical limits. For example, Cotto could improve his speed, but its very unlikely he will ever be as fast as Leonard at 147.

The 4 fighters you listed are arguably the 4 quickest fighters ever
In comparison to Cotto, Floyd is faster by quite a margin, Cotto isn't renowned for his speedComment

Floyd's speed is far from 'overrated'.
And Cotto does not match Floyds speed, Floyd will very easily out speed him.Comment

But to answer the original question, Floyd would outspeed Cotto at 147. Cotto sits down on his punches too much to be as fast as Floyd.Comment
