Why are you mentioning what divisions Wright and Pavlik are from when Williams last two fights were in those divisions ? guess that means he beats Williams because Williams is a 154/160 fighter
He isnt competing with the top guys in his division though? Just Joe Calzaghe...

which he lost... close but clear

I don't need to get into how Paul Williams and Joe Calzaghe have different styles... NO KIDDING.
My point is that he didn't do it by throwing endless punches, he did it with speed and movement, as well as ability not to get hit. Everybody Bernard fights these days throws more punches, it takes speed and ability to adapt on the inside to land them though. The point I was making is that you can't just compare numbers because it wasn't work rate that caused Hopkins to tire, it was mainly the movement and speed. Again, people made this same mistake when comparing Pavlik to Bernard, and are still doing it here. We gonna have to agree to disagree here, I'm off to the gym and then to madison square garden son! It's Chuck Norris time.

Im going to end my **** in this thread with a sum up

basically I dont believe Bernard can win, because hes 44... and at 44, i dont believe he has the stamina to execute his gameplan for 12 rounds, and avoid being outworked...

          that is my final thought...

Not that I think Paul Williams can run the bigger divisions, just because of Bernards age, and stamina at this point... I dont think he could keep up.... that is all.

yes Joe Calzaghe who is one hell of a fighter and you forgot Tarver who was the number 1 light heavyweight when Hopkins schooled his ass.

Even if your opinion on the Joe fight was that joe won a close but clear fight it doesn't take away from the fact that it was a very close competitive bout that many people other had going either way.

If Hopkins can have a close fight with Joe Calzaghe then he can certainly beat Williams.

I like Williams but he is not in Joe's league. Hopkins would prove this.

I know... I think people were starting to get the wrong idea of why I think Paul would win... I know Bernard is a better boxer, hes slicker, better defense, better counter puncher... better ALL OF THAT...

and in one small sentence... I just dont think at this age, he could keep up for 12 rounds... thats basically it...

he has to get OLD SOMETIME!

                  K im done.

When will your undying hatred ever end? You'll have to admit Bernard is at least a B+ level fighter one of these days!
