A FORTY FIVE Year old fighter.... Simple being a future HOFer is nowhere reason enough to say, well that is why he wins.

He is 45, and IMO, no way could he keep up with Williams pace.

I have no doubt Hopkins would have his moments and land his slick punches... but moreso than Williams? for 12 entire rounds? after trying to make 168lbs?

    Nah.

the only thing williams has over his opponents is height, size and workrate, against hopkins he will be smaller, just taller and wont have anything to hit. hopkins' punches will move williams and leave him hesitant. its a big difference between being in a war with margarito at 147 and taking his shots and then fighting a big 168 lber.

i dont give a **** if hopkins is 55, hes coming in off 1 of the biggest wins of his career and is still p4p ranked. he kept up with calzaghe's pretty well and calzaghe is a lot bigger and better than williams.

hopkins has footwork, winky does not. quintana used footwork to beat williams.

Good... Williams has footwork, PAVLIK does NOT.

Calzaghe has footwork, and Bernard was gassed by the 7-8th round..

Biggest win of his career against a flat footed come forward one two puncher, and it was over a year ago.... Yeah so somehow that says Nard beats Williams? No.

At Bernards age, he won't be able to keep pace.

"He got his hands full with Winky Wright"

Well looks like he had an easy night with Winky and now it was because Winky was tool old. Volume punchers make everyone look old.

Paul wins at 168, Hopkins would have to train to lose weight and watch what eats and also train for the fight.

Paul would eat anything he wants, build it in to muscle, and train for the fight.

Because Hopkins isn't going to be able to keep that pace at 45 years old.

On top of the fact that the BIGGEST thing that threw Williams off for that fight is Quintanas southpaw stance... they didnt use any southpaw sparring partners for training and basically completely overlooked him.

Too many punches for Bernard at this age... 5-6 years ago Id love to see it.

hopkins fought at 170 his last fight, 168 wouldnt be a problem.

hopkins has never showed stamina problems, only against calzaghe. williams is too small to faze hopkins, he doesnt hit hard at 147 or 60, what the hell is he gonna do to bernard to make him tired? hopkins will dance around the ring as usual, hit hold and repeat for 12 rounds. very boring but easy fight.

williams is open as hell, he would get punished badly by hopkins.

Beating Pavlik is a simple game plan.

Pavlik is slow, he plods, he is flat footed. All he has is his power... simply move to the right of his power hand and give him angles, and thats that. These are words straight from Bernard.

Paul Williams is ANYTHING but. He throws punches from every single angle, he has 12 round stamina, he throws 1000 punches a fight. He moves his head and he uses his legs.

It's a stylisitic nightmare for Hopkins. And I'm not even saying Hopkins wouldnt land his shots, because he would. But there wouldn't be enough of them to overcome the work Williams would be putting in.
