i had a talk with the bringer and explain him about this controversy.

black irish STFU please! PR will claim their own always.our acomplishments will always be our credit not your country. YOUR COUNTRY IS NOT MY COUNTRY. I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN BUT IN NO WAY I AM AMERICAN.we decide whatever the **** we want to decide because economically you'll get in a ****ole if we decide being 100% independent.

the constitution of puerto rico > commonwealth of the US.

say what you want. i don't really give a **** if your country is going to a boxing crisis.

WE ARE PUERTO RICANS AND A NATION .

True, but like I said you could go the whole "you would be speaking Japanese right now, if it was not for us", that is pretty nasty also.

That **** works on people from England like a charm, except replace Japanese with German.

...as for the whole PR American thing....PR has its status because PR voted for its status...America has given PR the right to decide on its status on more than one occasion.Whatever it is or may be in the future will be decided by our brothers on the Island.....So all this "America owns and runs" is usually coming from a people that hate the fact that PR has its cake and gets to eat it too. Born on a beautiful island, come and go when we feel like it, and have all the rights of an American born in Redneck, Louisiana. The voting part is the only thing that the island loses out on(But guess what that is a right that usually alot of Americans don't exercise anyway*not condoning) No sneaking over boarders, or riding the yola, or making believe we are another nationality...I know I love it and most of my people do...and we all know why they hate and masquerade it as something else.(pride, sellout, loss of independence and a lot more).
*remember we fought in every American engagement since the late 1800's ..we deserve all we get ...our fallen Puerto Rican and Puerto Rican Americans heroes say so.
I agree! Good post. If I could make a decision for all Puertoricans on the island I would definitly keep it the way it is, but I would find a way to move the economy. I mean I have a B.S. in Computer Science and work as a Wi-Fi technician and I only make like $10 an hour. What crap!!!

I think you're severely overanalyzing the situation.

You label us jealous, over what? You say you can come and go as you please, but so can we. No American citizen needs a passport to go to or from Puerto Rico, you just hop on a plane and go.

But you are right on some things, your people have contributed a lot to our Military efforts in the past, in the present, and will continue to do so in the future.

It's not a matter of us being jealous, it's just, we want more. More great Champions in boxing, more dominance of the sport, and even though we're already #1 in terms of producing great Champions, we'd like to have yours as well.

I'm just being a ****, but some of it's true.

But I wouldn't want to "own" the Pinoys, Puerto Rico has a much greater history in producing great boxing Champions. There's really no comparison.
100% correct!!! people raciest are usually ignorant people with no versatility in their life. they only know one way . The higher percentage of them are cowards. Followers not leaders. Feel soory for them.

I think we should embrace each other more, as nations and brothers.

You should be proud of the fact that you are an American citizen. You can embrace the culture and legacy of your people, without saying things like "I'm not American!".

And we as Americans should embrace your Nation and it's people more, in diplomatic and economic affairs.
