being an american doesnt mean that you aint puerto rican anymore and your now american because you were born in america, moved to america or your country is territory of america. a puerto rican is still a puerto rican just like any other race is still the race they are. american isnt a race. i was born in PR and my family moved to america when i was a child in the 1980's. i became a citizen of the united states of america, but im still puerto rican

I just dont understand how people can say that Puerto Ricans arent American. it just doesnt work like that. you cant be Puerto Rican without being American also.
