Of coarse you have proof of this ? we know Floyd would use any straw to grab at for his lack luster display, because any fighter would, its the nature of fighters to make excuses, when they dont perform to what they think they can.

He put a pretty bad ass whipping on all the southpaws he fought (Corley, Mitchell and Judah). I would not go over board call these guys special fighters but they were all very good (Mitchell was pretty long in the tooth though I will admit). He did get cuaght very cleanly and rocked in both the Corley and Judah fights, but it was not a recurring thing through out the fight it happeaned once then never like that again.

Bringing up Zab against Baldomir, Zab went in there to knock out Baldomir. He also showed Baldomir no respect as shown by the whole glove touching incident. After the fact that was known to be a bad idea to go in there with the intention to take out Baldomir. You fight the wrong fight against any opponent and it can be very costly.

Zab fought much better against Floyd then Baldomir, and I actually think he had some idea of what to do (since they used to be friend and spared a lot), but Zab had no answers for Floyd once he took those ideas away.

If he fought someone like Whitiker I do not know what would happean though, or any lefty like that.

If I follow your idea, I would pick a guy like Gatti. Not the Gatti who try to boxe with Mayweather, but the old time guy who throw six hook in a row and doest care if he hits your arm your glove or your head, sooner or later it's gonna hurt.
Simply a guy with the heart and killer instinct that Gatti had and don't forget a good chin to take the shot, lol.

i just watched mayweather vs hatton. it was an ok fight but cortez let mayweather get away with a lot of pushing with his elbows and forearms.
