The problem is that mayweather has never been tested, I gaurantee Cotto could beat Mayweather. its just a style wise bad match up for Floyd
No one would destroy Mayweather but Whitaker would beat him

[QUOTE=Ch@mpBox@PR;4783390]Who have bigger names and more Quality opposition in his resume DLH or Ray Robinson???QUOTE]

Harry Greb is up there, Sam Langford, Ezzard Charles, Ali, Benny Leonard.....Just to name a few.

Robinson's resume is still best, but all these guys have better opposition than Oscar.

          My choice would be Ali.

I'm not entirely sure why but whenever i think about it (or watch footage of fighters) i always seem to come back to ali...

he doesnt have best achievements in the sport...or the longest reign for a title or anything that stands out (like robinsion's extensive number of fights) like that...

but overall i think he's the greatest in my opinion.

            Bias tors what???/ you idiot

Oscar resuem hs mopre big names than any other fighter, matter of facts most of the fighters he fought where champion quality opposition, with the exeption of the first 10 uys he fought. And even then the guy with the worst record on DLHs resume ad a 5-1-1 record.

Tito had more skills than Tyson. Tyson only knew how to fight on the inside. Tito could box from the outside, the inside, circle away fro opponets, brawl, and still hurt his opponents. POlus the fact that Tyson after 5 rounds was crap!!!!!!!!!!

And benitez defense is up there with Whitaker if not better. not aknowleging this, proves that you are the real bias poster here!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well Robinson, of course. Its difficult rating the best fighters of all time though, because video footage is hard to come by. For example, I'm pretty sure Ring Magazine's Top 50 ATG list has Harry Greb in the top 5. Now I'm not saying that he wasn't a quality fighter. His record is immense, but how can you pass judgement on fighters where no footage exists?

When I think ATG, I generally think post-Robinson, because then you can accurately gauge fighters abilities from video footage with your own eyes.

I've only seen a few Benitez fights, but what I've seen I've been impressed with. He's one of the most talented defensive fighters of all time. It would be very close between him and Whitaker. They are the two best defensive fightres of the last 30 years at least.

Yeah I'm waiting for him or somebody to say Mayweather has a better defense that Benitez lol.

Also meant to say about Benitez: after Leonard fought him, he said that Benitez always seemed to know what was coming even before Leonard punched!
If a guy of Leonard's calibre says someone like that, you know the opponent is very, very good defensively.

Tito is not more skill than Tyson. Tyson is one of the most skilful boxers of all time. Of course Tyson never fought on the outside because every guy he fought had LONGER REACH MAYBE. Common sense. How you going to outbox a taller opponent when you have a short reach, you have to get on the inside.

                    Whitaker > Pep > Mayweather > Benitez
