thats your opionions about whitiker and mayweather. Personally i think mayweathers better all round than whitiker. I reckon Floyd would beat him if they fought prime for prime. I aggree he was an excellent fighter but if he was so dominant at the end of the day he should have dominanted the guys that beat him. Which he didnt all his loses where debatable im not saying he shouldnt have desserved the win.

The loses which you speak came at the end of his career. If you want to compare Whitaker and Mayweather watch PBF vs Castillo then watch Whitaker vs Chavez.

Chavez was far better than Castillo and Whitaker made his look awful. Btw the result was abolsutely shambolic. Not even close to a draw!

Career wise, nobody had a better one than Sugar Ray

Robinson -- in my opinion. Hank Armstrong and Harry Greb deserve honourable mention though.

I will admit to not having watched many fights from the old days, so I will say - in my lifetime that I've witnessed - it's Lennox Lewis for me.

                Whitaker > Pep > Mayweather > Benitez
                lol at the bold hahhaahaha!!!!!!!!!!

MAyweather nor Pep are better defensive fighters than Benitez and Whitaker is about the same level as benitez, if greater, not by much!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to pass judgement on Willie Pep because of the limited video footage available. However, I do agree with Benitez/Whitaker being immensely talented defensive fighters. I started a thread yesterday about a fantasy fight between those two at 147. Very interesting.

Its very Hard to pick, because Whitaeker was faster, but benitez timing was way better. Whitaker footwork was a bit better but benitez head and body movement was better. So is really hard to pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roy Jones jr, in his prime the most dominant fighter ever. If he had retired after the ruiz fight or even after Tarver 1 everyone would be calling him the greatest, its a shame he carried on and affected his legacy.
