Don't wanna see any more good fighters fall apart cuz of promotional woes. If he's got beef wit Arum, get outta there and start fresh.

Arum a bit Scared of Losing Cotto

New York .- The promoter Bob Arum could not hide his concern yesterday that the state is its relationship with Miguel Cotto, boxer cagüeño after he strongly criticized for supporting Antonio Margarito in the dispute that led bandages changed to the California Athletic Commission revoked the license andalusia Mexican boxer for one year.

However, Arum hopes to speak with Cotto to heal all wounds and that the matter not to renew the contract prevents it unites, and which expires at the end of 2009.

"We want to continue with Cotto. Everything is fine between us except that (Cotto) is a little off about my position on Margarito, "Arum said yesterday.

Last Friday, Cotto, who never had anything bad to say about your company's promoter, said that: "It seems like a lie that Top Rank will go over the welfare of a human being, just by thinking about the money."

"I will defend my position that Margarito is innocent of what was charged by the California Athletic Commission," Arum Riposto.

Also, the veteran promoter hopes to achieve a contract extension soon.

"The current contract stipulates that we are entitled to one additional year if match any offer (from another developer). We do many things in mind in 2009 and that includes the possibility of a fight with Manny Pacquiao. If we make that fight, I have no doubt that all things being forgotten, "said Arum.

Despite the fact that Cotto will be ready to hear the offer from Top Rank, was not precipitated when a decision regarding their future. The fighter of 28 years has been under the banner of Top Rank since I took the leap to boxing income.

"We'll have to wait. It's like when you are negotiating the contract for a fight. Must see how the company comes to mind with me. Weighted everything on the table and eventually we will see what suits us, "said Cotto.

"I deeply regret that Michael does not understand and that has hurt your feelings (for Margarito defend), but I stand by my beliefs," said Arum.

"Anyone who thinks differently Miguel worries me, but that does not prevent me from saying what I understand is correct. (Miguel) has every right to his opinion. I'm not an idiot, "said Arum.

While I agree with that point, it would be very unfair not to acknowledge that Arum has done a great job building Cotto into a star who now makes a couple million (minimum) for his fights now. All Arum did was stay loyal to his client when he could have just jumped off a sinking ship.

Pavlik - Still holds the WBC and WBO Middleweight Titles, Abraham in 2009.

Cotto - After Jennings, a Mosley rematch is likely to happen.

Margarito - Is still welcome to fight in Mexico (It'll bring in money).

So either way, ****d or not, Arum is still making money.

                  That is true.

I want Hatton to beat Pacquiao, so he can fight Juan Manuel Marquez again.
Also because I don't like Pacquiao and I'm a fan of Hatton.
