I can see why sometimes promoters pre emp the 'whose next' stuff, but it really does them no good very often.

One because they often only do it when the fights a mis match, as if it's a confirmation they consider it so and part of their overall 'plan'.

Two - If they end up losing they all look stupit.

Three - Like you say, it would understandably piss other fighters off whom don't have one fight being seriously public ally discussed and promoted.

Sure hope he doesnt fight Cintron. Cintron had his days and doesnt seem to be progressing any skillwise (even though his trainers these last couple of years were considered top notch).

I think itd be too soon for Cotto to take a rematch with Mosley anyway, stylistically Cotto - Berto would be a lot more exciting while Mosley is one of the few welterweights that could do well against Clottey. Berto is ready to step in for the june 13 date so lets see it happen

It's funny how everyone make excuses for Cotto being protected. He's the most protected fighter in Top Rank (Besides Clottey because he doesn't fight) Arum has Cotto fighting Jennings and then is going to have him fight another easy fight? I think that's why Miguel Cotto lost to Margarito because he fought Gomez who didn't test him at all before a fight with Margarito. Cotto/Mosley 2 makes the most sense boxing wise but doesn't make sense to Arum $ wise because Mosley is too risky for his pockets right now. I don't think Cotto's cares.

I used to want to see Cintron & Cotto before but Cintron pissed me off from his performance & attitude but it would be interesting to see how Cotto would deal with the taller Cintron who still packs a big punch at 147. That would tell me how Cotto really is because both are aggressive if they can hurt you but gets discouraged if they can't & both don't adapt to pressure well so it would be a who can back down who first. Now that I think of it I would like to see them clash but a unification bout with Clottey or Berto makes more sense if Mosley
is too much for Cotto to handle right now. Clottey might be too tough for Cotto as well. Hopefully Arum does right by the Boxing fans and the sport.

CIntron clearly lost gets clearly KO and still gets a big money fight with Cotto. If Cotto wants a good name and an easier fight he should fight Berto. He beat Mosley and can beat Williams, Margachito, Clottey but I think he gets Berto, but Berto is promoted by Al Hayman and Arum still doesn't do business with him. Lets just hope he doesn't fight Cintron.

He doesn't even have the belt yet and his last 3 fights he's defended against former WW champions (with the exception of gomez) before his loss to marg.... so don't sit there and act like a fake fan and say he fights cupcakes.
