According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, a rematch between Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley is probably not the next fight for Cotto, tentative for June 13. Should Cotto get past Michael Jennings on Saturday, Arum wants to get him the biggest money fight possible. Are you just not paying attention??? Give up his belt if he doesn't unify? He doesn't even have the belt yet and his last 3 fights he's defended against former WW champions (with the exception of gomez) before his loss to marg.... so don't sit there and act like a fake fan and say he fights cupcakes. At the TIME they fought were margarito, mosley, and zab judah cupcakes???? sure he fought Gomez but top rank was setting up the marg vs cotto showdown
i also wanna see the WW unified but the other beltholders have to be willing to fight cotto first

Arum is about money and thats fine as long as the money and the fights Cotto and the fans want are one and the same. Cotto may want a welterweight unification more than money alone which is what I prefer as well Mosley-Cotto is no doubt entertaining but lets see some new match-ups first. I'm not a pro boxer but I don't think you need a tune-up in between every "big" fight when you only fight every 4 months at best especially when Cotto indicated retirement at 30.

I agree but the problem with Hatton or Pacquiao is that they fight in May 2, so it would be impossible for them to be available for Cotto in 1 month.

Look hes gonna fight Jennings saturday. thats 2 cupcakes in his last 3 fights!!! its time to step it up, Cotto and fight some cupcakes but when Mayweather wants to fight Hatton (which was undeafted and top ten p4p) ppl wanting to say hes taking the easy route or just cherrypicking. if Mayweather fought Gomez EVERY BOXING SITE WOULD GO NUTS!!! but Cotto can do it and nobody is tripping. Im a true fan of Cotto but he needs to unify this division THIS YEAR!! no more games.
