    Stay retired Joe!

I personally believe Joe Calzaghe should stay in retirement. Although I disagree with the statement of "there is nothing left to prove", there is always something else to prove in boxing. Ask Chad Dawson, he's about the only challenge I see for Calzaghe at this point, but you stay long enough in the game you are going to get old, lose some of the reflexes, and for an awkward fighter like Calzaghe who thrives on his speed this would only increase the chances of spoiling that perfect record. He would be wise to play some golf and do some promoting for the up and coming UK fighters, or perhaps make an alliance with Ricky Hatton's promotional company and put them all under one banner just to **** with Warren : )

Now we have one guy who might actually be able to punish him for his mistakes in the ring, a guy who is young, hungry, speedy and could have the power to discourage calzaghe, but he wont fight Chad Dawson, cos he has nothing to prove?

Especially after he won a questionable decision against an old hopkins who had him down in round 1.

Why not prove beyond doubt who the best light heavy is, then retire?
      cause he's a pu$$y, thats why.

Most of his fans would have liked him to have had one more fight, against either Dawson or Hopkins (not Woods!) - but respected his decision to retire when he did. But now that he's retired, he should stay retired.

The hate posts on here are silly - those who won't miss him could just ignore the articles about him - but they just can't help themselves, can they?

His fans are not afraid he "may get hurt" if he came back right now, but if he came back after several years, then he probably would - all boxers age eventually, and he's no spring chicken; and his style relied on his speed and reflexes. Jones showed how quickly a fighter who relies on speed and reflexes can become a shell of what they once were.

He did it very selectively and very timely and history will remember that and wont be fooled with the passing of time , Joe will fade off into the sunset with his highly guarded and precious 0 , at the end of the day thats all that was important to him .
