He most definitely would get hurt based on his last 2 performances where he was dropped by 2 40 year olds in the first round. One can only imagine what someone who could fight back for 12 full round would do to Joe. Just stay retired. If one goes out on 2 old legends and calls it a day why on earth would we believe he'd do something that matters now? Just enjoy the rest of your 15 minutes and be done with it. Btw those 15 minutes are almost over from what i see.

Wood's doesn't deserve such a shot unless he shows he can show up to a fight again.

Wood's lost to the guy whom lost to Dawson.

It's worse then fighting Tarver himself.

Anyway's it isn't a Mayweather retirement and that deserves some respect. He's been planning to retire for ages, and has assessed the likely scene come 6-12 months and doesn't see a huge fight as likely. He's probably right, but I spose there's a chance. It just isn't Woods's.

Lol, yes because your clearly well liked and appreciated on the boards.

In 2 years and thousands of posts, you've not even received so much as a gift of appreciation for one good post.

Can you hear that? That's the sound of no one caring.

We'll have to get used to Calzaghe teasing us 'Lennox style' with the coming back from retirement talk!

That's one thing we do know.

I dont really like Calzaghe, and I wanted to see Hops-Calzaghe II...

but I respect his decision to retire, and Ive always thought that it would be a Lennox or Hagler type retirement where he doesnt come back. He seems pretty serious about it so go ahead and let him retired, hes what 38 or whatever anyway. Too many guys keep coming back and tainting their legacy. The only interesting fight really would be a Hops rematch. I dont care about Dawson or woods or the other guys.
