This potential fight is a waste of everyone's time; Not just including boxing fans. Miguel absolutely obliterates Kermit at this juncture of his career. Cintron, as far as I am concerned, career as a prizefighter is over and done.

Cotto once again showing his true colors and fighting a bum rather than take a risk.

As much as I HATE the cry baby Cintron it's a pure mismatch in favor of Cintron. Cintron would demolish Cotto's chin with that right hand of his. Cintron was fighting a runner in Martinez. Cotto on the other hand would be right in front of Kermit and would get destroyed early on.

As far as Cotto vs Cintron goes...

Cintron is going to get destroyed. Miguel Cotto can take a vicious beating and keep going forward. Cintron takes a mild ass whooping and cries about it. Cotto is devastating body puncher and does not fade under pressure. Cintron on the other hand does wilt under pressure, looks for ANY excuse to whine, and seems incapable of looking past a mild infraction and delivering what he was there to do, KNOCK THE OTHER GUY THE EFF OUT. Cintron, you have the power. Why don't you spend more time socking the fighter you are fighting than crying? If you did maybe some people wouldn't be so quick to ***** about you. You obviously can fight, so do it. It's not that complicated.

I really don't want to see Cotto vs Cintron. Yes they are both proud Puerto Ricans and are more than willing than to fight, but this is a mismatch. I would much rather see Berto vs Cotto, or Mosley vs Cotto which I had Mosley winning anywhere BUT NYC by 2 points. If that fight was in Los Angleles like the fight I attended(Margarito-Mosley) I would say Mosley wins. Is Cotto a great fighter? Yes. Is Mosley a great fighter? Definitely. Would the Mosley of the Margarito whoop that Cotto ass? Hell yeah he would. Make no mistake. Berto is an up and comer, and I respect him, but he is NOT ready for Cotto at this time. I want to see Berto vs Clottey, and IF Berto can punch through that shell defense of Clottey and take the UD, then he is ready for Cotto. Until then, Lou DiBella would be wise to not take Mosley or Cotto. Berto is a very impressive prospect and I believe he is capable of unifying the belts, but not yet. Let Shane retire first. I firmly believe Shane would clean his clock, and quick.

You are a true jackass. I don't know who you root for but I assume its B-Hop. If you think Cotto fights bums and wouldn't take a risk compare his resume vs B-Hops. Cotto has fought much better competition in 33 fights than what Hop did in his first 33 fights. You are nothing but a straight up ***** and its not Cottos pick, its Arum. You think a guy that went out and took on a guy like Margarito who was feared by everyone would be afraid of a risk? Use logic, hater.

this fight would do nothing for Cotto and everything for Cintron. Cintron should fight Collazo or Quintana in the undercard

                      KingChile,

Thank you for the response. I was expecting a response like this. Yes, I saw the Margarito-Cotto fight. I even predicted Margarito would win by KO/TKO. The reason for this was that Margarito's style of pressure and his SIZE which is gigantic for welter would be the deciding factor in his victory. I want you to imagine Cotto vs Cintron now in the same expectations. Is Cintron massive for the weight? No, he is rather gangly and thin with a good right hand. Is Margarito much too big for the weight? Yes, he is. Cotto fought the wrong fight against Margarito, and we all saw it. Now, take into respect ALL of Cotto's prior televised fights. Did you ever see Cotto backup? And if you did, was it more than 30 seconds? The answer is no. Cotto is best when pressing forward, very much like Manny Pacquiao. If he can set on the offensive and deliver he is a very tough challenge for anyone. Cotto backed up and tried to box his way out of the fight against an iron-headed Margarito, a very bad choice. This is why he lost this particular fight. The fastest way to beat a bullying pressure fighter is to back him up and bully him, which Cotto did NOT do in this fight. Cotto lost on that night, but I believe it's a learning experience. He got backed up and taken out of his fight, and as much as he doesn't want to admit it he and Margarito are very much the same vein of fighter(a pressure fighter who counts on his offense and body attack/pressure), albeit Cotto didn't find a necessity to pack his gloves with substance ala Margacheato. I look forward to seeing Cotto deliver the goods very soon. Thanks for the post.
