i honestly don't think berto is that good, his defense is terrible, weak chin and conditioning also weak,he seemed very tired at the third round in last fight, and collazo is not a big puncher...i think he's a bit overrated..

The only guys out there that are willing to rock are Pac-Man and Paul Williams.......Clottey just can't get anyone willing to sign the dotted line!!!
Co-sign pretty much this entire post. This is another ploy by the evil genius Bob Arum. He's already shown his colors in not wanting to make the "best" fights, but rather the "biggest" fights. Hell, he publicly stated that himself recently. Cintron would get Cotto a big payday as Arum could get Cotto a huge split from the fight. Also as already mentioned two Puerto Ricans on the eve of the PR Day parade is probably another bonus attraction. That would pretty much be another tune-up and waste of time in Cotto's career.

If he wants to make a mega matchup he needs to make Mosley II happen, and it also makes sense since there's unification. I think Berto would be cool too. I've only seen a few Berto fights, but he seems like a formidable opponent and it would be a good test for the youngster. And lastly, Clottey is probably the biggest lose/lose out there. High risk with a belt as a reward, and a good W for the resume, but he's gotta be the least known of all the aforementioned names. I see no way in hell Arum getting Clottey in there; of the best WWs this is the guy that the public could care less about. I say he and Cotto must square off sometime, just not on this big a stage.

Yeah I agree with the general consensus that Cotto absolutely destroys Cintron. I don't mind Cintron but Cotto just has way too much.

He was Clottey's mando before, I'm surprised he ain't pushin for that fight. I'm sure he gets beat by either, but I'd actually give him a puncher's chance wit Cotto, which I doubt he'd have wit Clottey.

First of all, Martinez won this fight hands down. The reason for this is that he initiated contact, pressed the actions, and decisively put Cintron on the back foot where obviously he cannot be nearly as effective as he is coming forward. Secondly, what the hell was going on with the late count? Yes, Kermit got up at 9 and whatever amount you deem acceptable seconds, but that was clearly not a headbutt. Kermit claims that it was, and I quote" no one can hit that hard" upon the knockdown. Are you serious? Sergio is NOT a puncher. He is however an elusive target and an awkward boxer ala Joe Calzaghe in that he is swift, delivers punches at an odd and unpredictable angle, and hold the hands down low. The simple answer for this fight was for Cintron to deliver a double jab followed by the right hand and cut off the ring. Kermit never picked up on this for whatever reason, and got outfought the majority of the fight. I respect Kermit's power, he obviously can deliver when the target is there for him to hit(reference Cintron vs Matthysse), but he has to develop a counter for slick boxers. He is lucky to escape with the draw in my opinion. I had Martinez winning handily.
