It seems every time I see him he's in the losing corner. On paper that should have been a tough night for Clinton Woods tonight but he only lost three rounds on two scorecards... just one on another.
What's Buddy McGirt's training record?

i like mcgirt.
he's a solid trainer.
he just hadn't had many talented fighters.
not his fault.
it's like hiring phil jackson to coach the bobcats......the team still ain't going anywhere.Comment

he has solid fighters they're just not greats.
name all of his fighters......any of them overly skilled or talented?
give buddy guys with huge upside and he'll take them to the top.Comment

I made a thread about this awhile back, and so have others. But yeah, I'm of the opinion that he must not be a very good trainer. Whenever I see him in a corner its almost guaranteed to be the loser's.
One can make many excuses for him, but the fact that he is so consistently in the loser's corner for big fights has to mean something.

I don't know. Like Brewster, Wlad 2. Whoever was in Wlad's corner was going to win.
He gives good boxing advice. He can't fight the fight for them.Comment
