I can name a guy who never won a world title, David Tua.
cruiser is not really the best division in boxing.

how many former super middleweights and light heavyweights have moved up to win cruiser belts?

cruiser is where guys who lost their 175 belts move up to and for guys not good enough to be heavyweights.

cruiser hasn't been good since jirov , toney and gomez moved up.

Cunningham is good, but O'Neil Bell is a complete head case.

I'm not harping on McGirt because his fighters lose, I'm doing it because lately they lose and lose big, most of the recent McGirt appearances coincide with a guy getting shut out or knocked out.

To me it seems like this happens in mismatches. Like Hatton Malignaggi.
Malignaggi could do nothing to discourage Hatton. He started with the pretty jab but abandoned it and Hatton just kept walking in despite McGirts advice to circle and jab.. when the charge doesn't listen, it may be some of the trainers fault, but not a big part of it.

If McGirt was giving bad advice or had sloppy cut and corner work it'd be different and I would he agree, but he is for the most part, very professional.

He obviously has a good record if we know who he is as a trainer.
