Exactly...the same Winky Wright that almost beat Hopkins at LHW, a weight he had never fought at before. Ignore these dumb mother****ers. Look at "El Cabron" and his garbage posts. Most people on here do not know boxing. Sad fact.

the test first started when alfonzo sanchez came along. he has an iron chin and is a powerful puncher. Paul detsoryed him. Next came sharmba mitchell a fighter that gave mayweather to much toruble and it took mayweather 6 rounds to knock him out. paul destoryed him in 4. then came cheater of plaster margarito before he was exposed for his cheating tactics. paul beat him up in twelve and nearly knocked him out punishing him longer than mosley. imo, it was worst than the fight with mosley. then came one of the worst decisions in boxing since whitaker against overrtaed chavez. quintana beat williams by a controversial ud. paul then got his revenge in a rematch. paul realized he couldnt leave it up to the judges and quickly destroyed quinatana in one round. next came andy kolle a top middle weight fighter with only one loss that was controversial. paul destroyes him in one round. then came verno phillips who is better than shane mosley because he fights at 154 and his bigger. paul destroyed him. paul laso called out kelly pavlik and joshua clattey and miguel cotto and shane mosley and again margarito. they all ducked him but can you blame them?

I'm not a fan of him nor do I hate him, but it's kind of hard to judge him. I feel he has a pretty good resume. It looked really good when he avenged the defeat to Quintana and having beaten Margarito. Verno Phillips is a pretty solid win, beating one of the top dogs at 154. Skill wise, he's pretty good. Big Big workrate, Decent body attack, and fights tall most of the time except when going to the body.

However, Carlos Quintana in the first match showed really big flaws in his gameplan. He showed that with movement, it severly limits his workrate. It showed he could be blasted with straights and hooks if you move out of the way right after. In the rematch, while Pwill looked great KOing him, Carlos never got a chance to use his movement. That's why I think a mover beats him and Floyd would have killed him if they ever fought.

What I don't like about him is how he is praised about how he could dominate 160/168. What a joke that is. Paul hasn't proven himself at those weights and there are some pretty damn good fighters at 168 and 3-4 really good fighters at Middleweight.

I do applaud him for fighting Winky Wright. Most view this is a worthless fight for him, but I think it's a very good test. Wright hasn't fought in almost 2 years, but Paul Williams is the one moving to Middleweight to fight a legit Middleweight. Wright has looked great at Middleweight imo and unless Wright is Jose Luis Castillo shot, it should be a competitive fight with Williams winning off of activity. I think it's a very good test and first step to getting a title fight at 160.

I'd like to see him stay at 160 though. That division is ****ing terrible outside of Pavlik, Sturm, Abraham, and probably Wright. It needs another name.

At the end of the day he has two wins against top welterweights, a win against a top 154 pounder (eventhough the division is weak) and he's taking on a dangerous middleweight.

IF he beats Winky he has 4 good wins by the age of 27

but I'm not sure if he gets past Winky

williams destroyed everyoine who he has fighted against. everyone runs away from him. cotto ran away mayweather ran away margarito ran from a remtch clottey ran away mosley isnow going to run away. you can even sy pavlik ran away. Its not paul's fault these guys dont want to foght him.

Your right that it's not necessarily his fault he hasn't faced great opposition, but that still doesn't change the fact that he hasn't. Sure people ducked him I guess, but that doesn't make him great ya know? The fact of the matter is he still has two decent wins that's it.

Well he did fight Tony and didn't fold like a beach-towel..plaster casts and all.
