Berto's my man but I'd have to favor Cotto. This would be a hell of a fight. I'd be suprised if it happened though.

I'm big on Berto but not sure he's ready for Cotto. We'll have to see how Cotto looks against Jennings too....I don't like the idea for concern for Bertos career but I'd love to see it! Since I don't have a say I'll wait and see how it plays out and enjoy it if it happens.

Agreed...I do think that Lou Dibella might be looking at Cotto through the lens of what almost happened to Mosley actually DID happen to Cotto, therefore Big Lou might think Cotto might be just softened up enough. Also, sounds like Jennings is pretty serious about thrwing it all down on Saturday. Hope its a good fight, cuz if it is, we might all be lucky and get that Berto-Cotto showdown. Enjoy the fight bro.

Please this whole talk about "concern" for Berto's career is getting ******. Berto is a CHAMPION - champions don't develop, there already there. If he wants to keep that strap and respect he's going to have to fight the likes of Cotto and Mosleys. If he loses, then he just wasn't really ready to be a champion in the first place.

cheers to Berto, some fighters would prefer to step down after having such a rough time in their last fight, and instead Berto is willing to jump to the highest level in the sport.

hey, the guy thinks hes ready, and it would be a great, explosive matchup even if it IS too early for him. Im all for it! besides, a loss wont murder his career.

the only thing that holds me back from wanting this fight is Mosley...I loved the first fight, and Mosley only has so long before he becomes too old for these guys, so...

overall, I think it would be more appropriate for Berto to rematch Collazo, and face the winner of Mosley-Cotto II next. hey, if the promoters are smart, theyll have both of those fights on the same card. perfect setup, if you ask me.
