I think you're right and i think Joe thought he maybe only got a draw in the Roy fight.

Your two yank legends got beat by the better man, they are lucky Calzaghe was out of his prime and couldn't sit down on his punches....Roy woulda got Tarver'd and Hop woulda got Mercado'd.

You are young and really no nothing about boxing

You are so wrong when you sayBernard was a novice fighter when Roy fought him. Or that Bernard was better when Joe fought him. Thats ridiculous. A 43 year old version better than a 28 year old.

Honestly, go watch Bernard film of the 90's. Hes twice as fast, twice as strong, twice as meen, and ten times more active. He would have beat Joe in his prime.

Please also go watch at least ten fights of Roy in the 90's. Remember, he got fighter of that decade. So go watch and find out why he got that honor. Then holler at me about Joe being better.

Ive watched Joes career, and he is a great fighter, but for 15 years Roy went through four weight classes, from 160-heavyweight, and never had a close fight. Joe stayed at one division and beat a whole bunch of mandatories at one weight. Then beat Jones 9 years after he was fighter of the decade and Bernard at 43.

I know you love Joe, but to insinuate that Bernard and Roy are anything close to what they were when they were 27, just shows me how deluded you are. Your mind is so warped to support Joe, you are imagining the impossible. Look at Jordan at 40, half the league was better than him. But still in his prime he was so much better than everyone. Its the exact same thing with Roy Jones Jr.
BS you know **** all, your not even a real boxing fan...All your doing is type down what other people say, the popular yank thing to say.

Your boy Hopkins admitted he needed more time before Roy and has since gone on to say a 43 YO Bernard Hopkins destroys a 33 YO Bernard Hopkins. Ive saw all Hopkins fights and the Pavlik win was his most impressive against the best fighter he ever beat (we cant count little tito in there) Bernard is 1000 times smarter these days....

Prime Calzaghe destroys them both....We've not seen prime Calzaghe for a few years.

Im a fan of both fighters. But this is what I believe to be the truth:

Prime Roy Jones Jr >>> Prime Joe Calzaghe. No question.

Ummmm.....Which great fighter was in his prime that Roy beat?

Dont give me Hopkins and dont give me Toney because that is complete and utter bull****. Toney was dead at 168 and Hopkins was green, still a novice.
I stopped taking you seriously right there. You talk about being dilluted? That's laughable.

Toney was dead @ 168 but was undefeated there and P4P #2 at the time, lol.

Hopkins didn't lose for like 11 years after Jones, but he was just green.

Give us a break. I havn't read any other posts in response to this yet, but I'm sure you fell into a **** storm.

21 pages of responses, lol. On second thought, this thread was a thing of genius for all bait threaders. Well done. After all, nobody is really that ******. I should have picked up on that right away.

I hear you say Calzaghe is the most overrated fighter in history....Well, i have to disagree with that...That title goes to Roy hands down! Roys the undisputed champion of overrated fighters.

The version of Hopkins that Calzaghe beat was a lot better than the version that Jones beat and if Kessler had been availible for Roy to fight then reluctant Roy would have avoided him like the plague.

Straight up haters are all some of you are......Ive stopped watching comedy and reading your posts to get my laughs.

Calzaghe goes through RJ's record unbeaten.
We will never know what the fight would have been like in their prime, obviously a different fight from the one we saw with Jones laying on the ropes, but both Joe and Roy are around the same age so the fight was fair in my eyes. Seriously though Roy was a great fighter in his day and at least he defended his belt vs young up and coming fighters unlike the Chad Dawsons of today. Calzaghe beats down Dawson anyday.

                    The funny thing about Roid fans is that;
Their only way of praising Roid Jones is by trying to insult Calzaghe.
                    It's pathetic.
