if you guys don't need america, why do european boxers come to the american scene to get respect? because the european boxing scene has been exposed as a rigged one where even the street corner bum is undefeated. not sayin thats the case with calzaghe cause i do agree he'd take down a prime jones but you get the point. so if you guys there are doing so well, stay there =)

I dont blame them, I remember feeling the same about lewis after his tysn fight, but like with calzaghe, it wasnt lewis fault.

Not a fan of RJJ in Boxing, mainly because he ducked Bernard Hopkins for a rematch for years.

But in all seriousness, a Prime RJJ would KO Calzaghe imo.

Like i said in my first three words, im not a fan of RJJ either. Just being serious

You say Calzhage wasn't in his prime. I feel ya. Roy is 4 years older. Bernard is seven years older. Trust me, you just don't know. When Roy fought Tarver 4 years ago he was so far from his prime. He ceased being Roy Jones.

Bernard was an absolute animal in his prime. Jermaine Taylor would have gotten KO but he beat Hopkins worse than Calzaghe did three years earlier. Bernard beating pavlick tells you how great he was. Bernard never lost when he was so called "green". Roy was the only one that could beat him. Then at age 40 he lost to Jermaine Taylor.

Trust me man, you need to watch some film. Hopkins at 43 is a shell of himself. Still good enough to beat 99% of fighters to day, but Jones was greener than hopkins when they fought. Jones and Hop would dominate today even worse than they did back then. Pavlick would have been an average 160lb fighter.

Hopkins had ONE more fight than Jones, but Jones had a more solid amateur background. How is that more green?

Roy is 3 years older than Calzaghe, not 4.

Hopkins was supposed to have the fitness and body of a 26 or 28 year old, according to Mackie Shilstone, and if you ask Hopkins about age he refuses to acknowledge that it's even a factor.

I wouldn't say Taylor beat Hopkins "worse than Calzaghe did". Both wins were highly controversial and are still being discussed today. I doubt Taylor could handle Calzaghe either. He would lose by a wide UD 10 times out of 10.
