    I just was saying my opinion as a mexican. I was born in Mexico, raised in Mexico and living all my life in Mexico.

    if americans that are born to mexican parents wants to "represent" Mexico, that's ok, but at least here in Mexico we don't really count them as mexicans.
    I don't like when they say Chris Arreola is the "mexican heavyweight hope". If Arreola becomes a heavyweight champion (I really doubt) i will never say he's the "first mexican heavyweight champion", i rather say Mexico never had a heavyweight champion than saying that an mexican-american is our first.

    Anyway, it's just my opinion, not necessarily the truth.

      My brothers where born in the US, but guess what they are Mexicans as much as I am. Unless they feel the need to reject either nationality, by birth right they can come and go speak and switch within cultures because its within their ability to do so.

        3) You earlier implied Ortiz was Hispanic, not Mexican (There was also an implication that he was hispanic looking). I replied he isn't hispanic nor is anyone born in USA, but he is of Mexican descent. Never argued with you, just corrected u

        4) Next time u get into a argument with me, know what ur talking about and read what I posted

        Have a nice day

        No such thing as a Mexican/American you can only have one nationality.

        No Hispanic implies what race you are, it doesn't automatically mean, because there is a large population of Hispanics in South America that, that is your nationality. There are many many black people around the world and i dare say the places you are more than likely to find the majority of black people are places like (Africa,Jamaica etc) but guess what that dont necessarily make them African or Jamaican. You arrangements are ******ed as fcuk.

        Ortiz is hispanic American just like you.

            We will witness again another Mexican getting destroyed like a tomato can.

            After Juan Diaz, Mijares and Margarito were all thrown out at the garbage can, Arce will be next..

            Good for Montiel he pussied Out against DOnaire and move up to avoid them.

                This is still going on? Alright, let’s give an end to expressed opinions.

                =============================================
                Dual Nationality

                The concept of dual nationality means that a person is a citizen of two countries at the same time. Each country has its own citizenship laws based on its own policy. Persons may have dual nationality by automatic operation of different laws rather than by choice. For example, a child born in a foreign country to U.S. citizen parents may be both a U.S. citizen and a citizen of the country of birth.

                ==================================
                In short, a foreign land my grant you its nationality. However this does override your inherited nationality. As in the case of Vargas, De La Hoya, Ortiz, or Margarito etc..

                Under these circumstances, if you deem said person, not a “Mexican”. Its more or less a convoluted opinion, rather then actual fact.

                Comprende Paisa? O necesita una traducción?

                  this is dumb you don't see pinnoys that were born in the US questioning that are pinnoys do you? No they still call themselves pinnoys, or PR htat are born in NY, they still consider themselves Puerto Ricans. So come on, enough of the political correctness.

                  If any person wants to consider themselves of another nationality because of their heritage, that's their choice and not any of you!!!!!!
                  Case closed, Kill this ****ing thread.

                    If Mexican-Americans thought like that Mexican boxers wouldn't get paid how they get paid now.

                    Aurelio Herrera was the first Mexican boxing superstar, but he was a Mexican-American.

                      Mexicans will always have great fighters...its just like the stock market, its a little down right now...but I'm sure they'll be back. So don't take your money(bandwagon) and bail just yet.
                      Much Respect to all the Mexican Great fighters and to the real fans.
                      Not the nuthuggers who tend not to be realists and are just no common sense fans no matter what a boxer does illegal or with no class.
