Mexican Boxers Falling Down

i don't dislike mexican fighters because they get in there to ****. give fans their money's worth. hell, pacquiao is always in a good fight when he fights them because they are toe to toe in every fight. but most of the good prospects are falling down. from morales to barrera, margarito, mijares got ktfo by vic, ponce de leon by lopez, tomorrow arce will get ktfo by darchi, dela hoya got ***** slapped, rafa marquez and izzy hasn't put on a show for a while. what's happening? hope victor ortiz, humberto soto, antillon will get more fights.
De la hoya and Victor Ortiz are americans, i don't have nothing against mexican-americans, i love them but at least personally i don't feel like they represent us in the ring.
But anyway, look, 2008 started not really great for Mexico, we had like 5 or 6 champions and we ended that year with like 10 champions and 4 boxers in the top 10 p4p. Not really bad, 2009 may start bad but i know it will end very good like always.Comment

Last time I checked, Ring Magazine claims 3 boxers from Mexico in their top 10 P4P list. I fail to grasp, the point of this thread other then an obvious flame bait.
As for Ortiz and the whole Mexican/American. That’s his ****ing business. If he wants to represent Mexico, good for him his parents are Mexican by birth right Mexico claims him as one of his own (double nationality) . If he wants to represent US, he can do so because he was born in Mexico. Its no different then Margarito representing Mexico, or Vargas claiming to be more “Mexican” then De La Hoya. And its really pointless, since he will still be viewed as a Hispanic fighter by the vast majority regardless of the fact.
Jesus why members are so pig headed on this forum?

For me it's ethnicity and not where you were born. A Mexican born in Japan is still Mexican. Victor Ortiz is Mexican.Comment

So I guess Israel Vazquez isnt a true mexican considering he quit in his stool in the first fight vs Marquez. Campas has quit a bunch of times, Raul Marquez, etc.***** name one true Mexican that did that, DLH is not a true Mexican, he is an American who later changed nationalities in order to avoid paying taxes.
The only great Mexican fighter that said no mas was JCC and that's because he was old as **** when he fought that ***** DLH.Comment

wtf?? hahaha your two face hahahahahaha. you just said in another post you ain't mexican and now you are?? hahahahahaThen why do you care if Mexican fighter are falling down, we will always get up. Unlike you people like you that join the bandwagon when somebody is good. What kind of fans are you??
Well don't need to hate Mexicans, they will always be a force in boxing, you just keep waiting another century for another pac.
Sad when you know there isn't any other talent, and then you got to hate on the Mexican people.
this dude just got owned by me.Comment

No, if he was born and raised in America he is American. Him being hispanic does not make him Mexican. His parents maybe Mexican, but his nationality is where he was born or raised and he was neither raised or born in Mexico so why would he be Mexican? because he looks hispanic
Yeah that is true, if you can speak Spanish and your parents are from Mexico your nationality is clearly Mexican
regardless whether you have never lived there, and you weren't even born there.
