Joe was not in a league with leonard in terms of boxing skill at MW, hagler dominated duran despite the comments of the biased announcers and scores of the biased judges, that fight wasn't nearly as close as the biased judges, fight commentators and biased fans would have you believe, the only announcer who was calling that fight right was al bernstein who repeatedly stated that hagler was completely outboxing and out****ing duran after the fight the announcer asked duran 3 tiimes if he wanted a rematch with hagler and he avoided the question like the ebola virus he wanted nothing else to do with hagler after that quiet beating he took. Haglers change in strategy was the only thing that prevented duran from getting knocked out the plan was to outbox and out**** duran not to go for the knockout because duran is to elusive for that, you saw what happened to leonard in the first fight and davey moore when they tried to go in there and take durans head off they were dissected and taken apart, hagler knew that strategy wouldn't work so he adopted a different strategy which was not as exciting and decisive as hagler destruct destroy approach which many fans had grown accustomed to, but nevertheless just as effective and it got the job done.
The hagler who fought leonard was just a shell of himself due to all the battles he had been through and his long road to the title the man didn't get his first title shot until his 49th fight that is unheard of in boxing today and would be considered a travesty, but that faded version gave leonard hell and many believe that he still won that fight, a prime hagler would have koed leonard in 7-8 rds im sure of it, and that's why leonard decided to challenge hagler only after he had noticed considerable decline in haglers skills but even that faded version of hagler would have outworked calzaghe and possibly stopped him late a a prime hagler would have battered, punished, and koed joe without question in my opinion.

Hagler did lose to a past his prime Leonard who fought only once in five years and never fought at middleweight. Calzaghe is bigger, fast enough and hits harder than Leonard at middleweight. Hagler had a lot of problems with an old Duran and Duran's best weight was 135-147. Hagler won a very close 15 round decision on Duran. It may have gone the other way if the fight was 12 rounds.

Thomas Hearns destroyed one of the best 10 boxers of all time Roberto Duran, George Foreman destroyed quality fighters like George Chuvlalo, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier.
Are you honestly trying to compare Jeff Lacy to George Foreman ? and maybe Joe Frazier was a hype job ? honestly that has got to be one of the dumbest posts i've ever seen on any forum.

Joe Calzaghe has never met anyone anywhere near as good as a prime Thomas Hearns, and he has never been hit by someone as powerful as Thomas Hearns is. Getting hit by fighters like a shot Roy Jones, Robin Reid, Richie Woodhall, Bernard Hopkins. Is not even comparbable to a prime Thomas Hearns.

George Foreman proved his worth beating quality fighters, before and after the Muhammad Ali fight. Which is why he is rated high in the all time rankings, and is considered one of the best Heavyweights of all time. People have looked back on him and consider him a great, people won't even remember Jeff Lacy in 20 years only hardcore fans.
And even then he will be considered an overrated prospect. Which he is now only after a few years, Mikkel Kessler, Bernard Hopkins, Chris Eubank, there quality wins the Jeff Lacy win is nothing compared to those wins i just mentioned.
