People are too quick to judge this guy.

His height is a big advantage but the reason he is good is because he also is a very good infighter and knows how to shorten his punches when he needs to.

He wins fight because he beats his opponents from the outside and when they get inside he still gets the better of the action.

I agree Williams is a bit reminiscent of Diego Corrales in that he's a tall guy that doesn't fight tall and looks very comfortable fighting on the inside. He has a very good chin, pretty decent power and a very good workrate.

I think the hate comes from guys like Kellerman saying he'll dominate 4 divisions, when the guy has yet to successfully defend a single title.

Sorry I don't think so. Tommy Hearns rocked plenty of fighters. Better than Paul. Different styles. I don't like the comparison.

He's not the most skilled or intelligent fighter around but he makes up for it in other ways and he's constantly learning, and constantly getting better, the best is yet to come from Williams IMO.

Paul Williams has all the physical attributes in terms of height,reach,southpaw stance and a fantastic workrate, but i dont believe he has the Boxing brain to maximize his potential.

For me he leans in too much and does not utilizes his height and reach. I believe his workrate and aggressiveness negates his Southpaw stance.

On top of all this he is wide open too right hooks.

He reminds me of Amir Khan in the sense that he is void of a Boxing brain, he does not know how to Box by thinking his way through a fight he just throws more punches instead of thinking.
