I think he uses it an orthodox way, not so much the height, but the reach. He jabs with all his reach which is obviously effect, but he also throws a lot of punches and with his long arms, he can get more room to throw. He also is a very good body puncher, or is becoming one, and so if he gives up the reach, it can benefit him in other ways.

Karminzan-Buenma was terrible though. Easily the worst undercard fight next to Dib-Luevano.

Im with you there i mean when i watch Southpaws they usually throw the jab like a jab come right hook, but Williams just extends it like an orthodox fighter by just throwing it down the middle etc.

As long as his chin holds up, and it seems very good, he'll be able to do this through 154,and against selected opponents at 160.

I agree he seems to have good chin, because he has been clocked a few times by Margarito and Quintana, but how long can he continue to take flush hooks on his chin the way Margarito and Quintana were able to hit him with?

Well his boxing brain is good enough to develop his skills. He's gotten a lot better the last years.

People are too quick to judge this guy.

His height is a big advantage but the reason he is good is because he also is a very good infighter and knows how to shorten his punches when he needs to.

He wins fight because he beats his opponents from the outside and when they get inside he still gets the better of the action.

Unlike the fights he listed Taylor-Spinks was a main event fight.

And unlike the cards he listed it had a great undercard fight in Pavlik-Miranda.

He can still be effective at 154 without a ton of pure boxing prowess. I don't see anybody there beatin him. 160 I ain't so sure.

Paul Williams is a very good fighter,he is 1 of them boxers that the sport needs right now, willing to fight anyone, good enough for haters to hate and is flawed and gifted all in one!!!Yup he doesnt box as much as he should, but in his last fight he showed how to **** on the inside big man style,to me,he is the best from 147-160,I think he has the skill to outbox-fight Pavlik if he got that fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!He is an oversized ww and would be deadly there because of it,if Forest is the best 154 has to offer, well u know the rest of that scenario!!!!!!!!!!
