What would have happened if Cortez let them hold and Hatton and Mayweather suffered a clash of heads, with Hatton suffering a huge cut on his head like he previously has had?

Everyone would have blamed Cortez for not stopping the fight sooner and would have blamed Cortez for the loss if the fight was stopped on cuts.

He's in a no win situation.

Everyones entitled to their opinion. I agreed with him regarding Cortez breaking them whilst Hatton was throwing. But some other stuff he said is a bit farfetched and probably just sour g****s. You gotta understand it hit us Brits pretty badly seeing Ricky go out like that.....I didnt talk to anyone for a week lol

Man Dirk there is no way you pass Hattons style as skill. He is a mauler. Of course he is gonna win throwing 2 punches and grabbing his opponent not letting him get off any shots
        that isnt skill
        its a gameplan that works
Skill is being able to throw from different angles and combos like a mayweather and Mosley
Hopkins is the Yank version of hatton but he has a better arsenol

his includes ball whacks, elbows and most important head butts. I cant beleive he hasnt been called for that **** before

the one complaint I have about the fight would be that floyd was turning his back and Cortez didnt tell him anything about it

Of course Cortez allowed in-fighting in the later rounds when he saw Mayweather was getting on top just as he allowed Popkins to hang on to Calzaghe the whole fight. Where were all the break-ups in that fight? non-existent because it favoured the US fighter

btw wtf was the point of a poll on this on a yank boxing forum? the worst thing is you cried like a girl when someone voted or argued the opposite way to what you wanted the poll to turn out like. Sit down stanley.
The irony is that you are so obviously the real stan here. I'd be shocked if you were old enough to drink.(legally that is) People are entitled to their opinions but I find this opinion to be off the wall.

Like i said if Hatton got cut on the inside and the fight was stopped on cuts, Hatton fans would have blamed Cortez.

He's in a no win situation.

Hatton got beat at his own game. Dude just doesn't know how to adjust...at all. Although in this case, he didn't have any other options. HE was the one getting muscled on the inside but the only other alternative was to try and outbox Floyd. Yeah right.
