Did Joe Cortez Cause Hatton to Lose to Mayweather Poll!

Ok.. This ridiculous debate has gone on for too long. There are still a lot people maintaining that Joe Cortez cost Ricky Hatton the fight. For most fans, this idea is ridiculous. However, every once in a while someone brings up that Ricky was cheated out of his victory by Joe Cortez. This is usually followed by several jokes about "biased" ring posts.. My belief is that only foolish nationalist-noob fans really believe Hatton would have won w/o Cortez.. Lets try and get to the bottom of this once and for all! Discuss. Poll to follow!

I definitely think Cortez helped take Hatton out of his game-plan and rhythm against Floyd. But I highly doubt that Hatton could ever beat someone like Mayweather. A boxer as good and skillful as Mayweather can't be beaten by someone who is just looking to maul you around the ring (granted its happened before, but Mayweather is one of the best ever.) Hatton isn't on his level, regardless of how much I like him.

He definitely didn't do a great job, but that didn't matter. Mayweather would beat him every time they fought.

I think without cortez as ref, hatton could of gone the distance.

Hatton probably loses but thats not the point. Cortez took any chance of that happening away with his shameful display.

Hard enough fighting Mayweather impossible fighting Mayweather, his elbows and a crook referee.
