Ricardo Mayorga Withdraws From The Alfredo Angulo Bout

Well im disappointed like everyone else.

I have to laugh at the people who say Angulo would have destoryed Mayorga. Would he have lost? Maybe. But you need 3 things to beat Mayorga. HAND SPEED, good tech boxing skills and one punch KO power.

Angulo doest have the full package. I mean Mayorga just went 12 with Mosley and was up on a card going into the 12th. I have never seen Mayorga lose to a slower fighter.But when it comes to Angulo, I guess we will never know now.

Kinda funny tho because this might be the end of Mayorga but he gets the last laugh. Everybody was wanting to see this fight. He gave the middle finger to the disrespectful HBO team and all the punk disrespectful fans who never gave him any credit. He didnt even you you the last satisfaction of him in the ring.

I don't remember the last time ODLH or Mosley were one punch KO artists at 154 pounds. Pulling out of the fight, just like when he disregarded making weight for the Jose Rivera fight, is a disrespect to the sport.

why do all gary shaw promotion fights, all happen to have 3 big name fights and one always happens to get canceled, i bet they promote 3 fights and make the people buy a 3 fight card and wait till last minute and cancel one purposely, in order for people can buy tickets to shaws events, shaw is a ****in con, this came as no surprise to me,

That Rivera fight was a Don King joke. I think even you have to admit that Mayorga would have hurt him. He more than paid for it by unnecessarily, moving up to fight 41-1 Felix Trinidad at his frist fight at Middleweight.

That Rivera fight was a Don King joke. I think even you have to admit that Mayorga would have hurt him. He more than paid for it by unnecessarily, moving up to fight 41-1 Felix Trinidad at his frist fight at Middleweight.

I didn't miss it, and the Vargas-Mosley fight was also an accumulation of shots. Vargas was damaged goods going into that fight IMO. He was significantly worse when he came up against Mayorga.

The Rivera fight might have been a joke but it was also a joke that Mayorga missed weight by 8 pounds and wound up fighting a guy named Eric Mitchell instead of contending for an alphabelt against Jose Rivera.

Missing weight and causing a fight to be scrapped shows great disrespect for the sport and your opponent. Rivera sacrificed, put in work and was expecting to fight and make some money. Because of Mayorga, Rivera missed out on that payday. Defend those actions.
