Disappointing that the fight is off, but with all do respect to Angulo, Mayorga has been in the ring with much, much better opponents and I'm sure as hell he isn't scared to fight anyone.

mayorga is a warrior even though the better skilled fighters or future hall of famers haved beaten him the man brings excitement to the ring with all his crazy antics..he knows how to sell himself for the event playing the bad guy role is his job..i bet ricardo mayorga will fight alfredo angulo any day of the week..he's probably struggling to make the weight

i almost killed myself watching his last fight

yes k-9 looked sht but i'm not sold on angulo yet
and think k-9 or gomez is a good solid step up from
his previous competition.
i like angulo and he looks good against fighters
that stand infront of him.
i want to see how his defense is.

he hasnt had a reason to show much defense so far.

you know, Id be happy with a Angulo vs. K-9 fight. K-9 knocked out a guy who beat Marco Antonio Rubio in his last fight, and Rubio is getting a title shot this month.

I think it would be a nice scrap.
but Campbell vs. Funeka easily has become the main event for this card.

This upsets me because this could have been a good fight. I don't think Mayorga is a fool, I think he knew what was going to happen to him in this fight. Anyone who threw straight punches hard and was strong enough to take a decent punch would beat Mayorga.

I thought it originally was. I liked Angulo vs. Mayorga but that fight was a mismatch and would have only made Angulo a legit contender.

Campbell-Funeka should have been the main event in the first place based on the qaulity of fighters, but I think they had Angulo-Mayorga as the figurehead for the event. thats the impression I got when I bought my ticket.

oh well, might have been too early for Angulo anyway. Mayorga is clearly a flawed fighter, but hes way craftier than people give him credit for. I think he had a better chance than most people gave him.
